1999 21/05 - 23/05 - Lausanne (Switzerland)
5th Olympic World Fair (Olympic Museum)
A new level is reached, for the first time at Lausanne. I passed from the status of a regular visitor to that of an exhibitor by sharing a table with a few others for economical reasons!

One more time, attractive meetings with my collector friends, selling and trading are always my favorite occupations.

2000 16/09 - 1/10 - Sydney (Australia)
A mystical country, a very beautiful city, Australia and Sydney really won me over. One week in a 4-star youth hostel, in central Sydney, the rest of the time in a private home, one hour by train from Sydney. A bit far but very nice, we were collectors that found ourselves in the same area. Coca-Cola tried to use their influence to make it difficult for the collectors/sellers of pins, and then a tolerance was permitted on their restricted area.

2001 13/07 - 16/07 - Moscou 112th IOC session (Russia)
With the invitation of my Russian friend Irina, I could discover the special and historical atmosphere of a session of the IOC under exceptional conditions, since receiving the sacred session accreditation without which nothing is possible. I thus could attend the unfortunate elimination of our national candidate (Paris 2008) to Beijing, but also the election of the new IOC president, Jacques ROGGE, who replaced Juan Antonio SAMARANCH. At the end of the session, Irina was able to acquire invitations for us to the Gala dinner organized by the Russian NOC. An unforgettable and grandiose moment were close to 1000 guests were in the immense room and were able to attend the artistic spectacle that was given at this special event. At my beautiful table were former Russian medalists such as Galina PROZUMENSCHIKOVA-STEPANOVA (gold medal in swimming 1964-Tokyo), Alexandre RAGULIN (gold medal in ice hockey 1964, 1968, and 1972) and Galina GOROKHOVA (gold medal in fencing 1960, 1968, and 1972 / silver medal in 1964). I briefly, due to lack of time, I visited Moscow, a very beautiful city.

2002 25/01 - 26/01 - 10th anniversary Albertville (France)
With this occasion, the flame was relit for a few days beginning with the start of a torch run in the city. On January 26, an Olympic fair took place in the ice skating rink in which I took part.
2002 9/02 - 24/02 - Salt Lake City (United States)
For me, certainly the Olympics where enthusiasm wasn't found upon arriving. A short time after the attacks of September 11 2001, it was difficult. Perhaps also the slightly austere Mormon atmosphere did not contribute to bring some measure of imagination. My stay in the youth hostel: deplorable! expensive with the unpleasant impression to have been taken hostage for the provided service. The major fault of the USA: business is business and that applies to everything.
